Refund Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
All Sales Are Final Once Access Is Delivered
OpenLimits provides prepaid digital access to managed AI model capacity. When you purchase a subscription, pass, prepaid entitlement, promotional allocation, or AI usage credit, access is provisioned immediately and upstream capacity may be reserved, allocated, or consumed on your behalf.
Except where required by law or expressly approved by OpenLimits, all purchases are final and non-refundable once access has been activated, delivered, or used. This includes subscriptions, Day Passes, Week Passes, monthly plans, prepaid balances, AI credits, account upgrades, promotional credits, bonus credits, and unused remaining time in a billing period.
Limited Unused-Purchase Review
We may review a refund request for a completely unused purchase submitted within 14 days of the purchase date, but approval is not automatic. To qualify for review, there must be zero API requests, zero token usage, zero proxied model activity, no dashboard activity beyond basic account login/setup, and no use of any paid Service feature.
If access has been used in any form, the purchase is not eligible for a refund, credit, partial refund, exchange, or pro-rated adjustment.
What Constitutes “Usage”
For the purposes of this policy, “usage” includes but is not limited to:
- Sending any API request through the Service (regardless of whether it succeeded or failed)
- Consuming any input or output tokens
- Using any dashboard feature that triggers a proxied request
- Generating, testing, or using API access that causes upstream capacity to be allocated
- Any recorded activity on your account beyond initial login and account setup
Usage is determined solely by our internal logs and analytics. Our records are authoritative and final for refund eligibility purposes.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under all circumstances except where required by law:
- AI credits, prepaid balances, gift purchases, promotional credits, and bonus allocations
- Subscription periods or passes that have already started
- Unused time remaining after cancellation
- Partial usage, low usage, accidental usage, failed requests, or customer-side configuration issues
- Temporary upstream provider issues, network conditions, third-party client problems, or tool misconfiguration
- Accounts suspended or terminated for fair use, abuse, payment, or policy violations
Billing Errors
We may issue a refund or correction for a verified duplicate charge, clear billing mistake, unauthorized transaction, or other case where a refund is legally required. These exceptions do not create a general right to refund prepaid AI access, credits, or subscription time.
How to Request a Refund
To request review of an eligible unused purchase or report a billing error, contact us through the dashboard or reach out directly. Include your account identifier, purchase date, and the reason for the request. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
By completing a purchase, you agree to resolve any payment concerns directly with us before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your financial institution. Filing a chargeback or payment reversal without first contacting us and allowing reasonable time for resolution constitutes a violation of this policy.
If a chargeback or dispute is filed in violation of this policy, OpenLimits reserves the right to:
- Immediately and permanently terminate your account and revoke API access
- Contest the chargeback with full documentation including evidence of this policy, usage logs, and acceptance records
- Recover the disputed amount plus all fees and administrative costs incurred
- Report fraudulent disputes to applicable fraud prevention services and databases
- Pursue any additional legal remedies available
EU and UK Consumers
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital purchases. By purchasing and using OpenLimits, you expressly request immediate access to the digital service and acknowledge that the service begins immediately. Once access is activated or the Service is used, any statutory withdrawal right may be lost to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Data Protection and Refunds
This Refund Policy is independent from your data protection rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, or any other applicable privacy legislation. Exercising data rights (such as requesting data deletion or portability) does not create any entitlement to a refund or credit. Conversely, the denial of a refund does not affect your data protection rights in any way.
Policy Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes take effect upon posting and apply to purchases made after the date of change. Purchases made prior to a policy update remain subject to the policy in effect at the time of purchase. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
